Lagos State Civil Society Participation for Development, LACSOP has called on the Lagos State Government to commence immediate investigation to unravel the likely causes of the Gas explosion at Abule Ado Area of the state.
This was contained in a press release signed by the Chairman, Steering Committee, Barr Ayo Adebusoye in reaction to the gas explosion.
The unfortunate incident which occurred on Sunday, March 15th left many people dead and several others injured, as well as destruction of several properties.
The call for investigation into the cause of the incident according to the group, is to help prevent any similar incident in future which could lead to loss of lives and property.
The group also commiserated with those affected by the incidents and the state at large.
LACSOP commended the Lagos State Government for the prompt reaction by launching a 2 billion naira relief funds for victims.
The group also applauded all officials that have worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of survivors.
